What is the Achievement Standards Assessment Range?

As a teacher, you are responsible for the education of so many students. When you have numerous children under your care it is not always easy to pinpoint their academic strengths and weaknesses. A great device to ascertain a child's aptitude for a subject is via assessment. Testing allows you to understand which areas of study require more focus, whether that is for a full class, an individual student, or somewhere in-between.

The Achievement Standards Assessment (ASA) series contains assessments that have been written to fully support implementations of the Achievement Standards as outlined in the Australian Curriculum.

The ASA range covers:

  • Comprehension,
  • Language Conventions,
  • Measurement,
  • Geometry,
  • Statistics,
  • Probability,
  • Number,
  • Algebra.

How to use our ASA range

In each resource there are 36 assessment tests, each containing 20 questions and a four-page test for the end of each term. The assessments can be used in a several ways:

  1. Complete an assessment test each week for the whole class.
  2. Select a test to match your classroom program.
  3. Work with a small group who require support.
  4. Ask individual students to complete a test with teacher/ teacher aide assistance.

Every Achievement Standard covered in each resource is described in full with the relevant Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) code shown in each section of the test.
